Fantasycon is the annual convention of the British Fantasy Society ( #BFS ) which has been running since the 1970's, but this is the second year it is being run by HWS. We love this event, it's an amazing opportunity to meet and catch up with people connected to books and publishing and to buy a new book or two.
This year we are in Chester, at the Queen Hotel just opposite the train station. It's a lovely venue, with more bedrooms and function spaces than last year and so close to restaurants, shops and cafe's if you want to step outside. The hotel staff have been really friendly and welcoming, so I know they are going to be wonderful on the day.

You can buy a weekend membership from our website, which gives you access for all the fun as well as well as voting rights in next years British Fantasy Awards. If you can only make it for the day and are watching the budget, you can buy a day ticket, but this does not have voting rights. There are discounts for BFS members, full time students and children.
